- Everything about Christian charity revolves around the nature of our Heavenly Father
- The reason for our giving is simply,
   - We worship a God who is a giver 
   - My God is generous, I want to be generous too 
   - I give because God expects me to give both in the OT & in the NT
- God gave, our forefathers gave, people at the time of Jesus gave, the early church gave so I give - We serve a God who is a giver, we His followers are givers too.
