Susan Krumins, a Dutch track athlete in the 1500m, 5K and 10K chats with Julian ahead of the Doha World Championships about her starting out in gymnastics and circus tricks, before going onto athletics as a junior and why European Athletic Championships are such a big deal. Susan talks about being a professional athlete and investing in yourself before looking back at her days running for Florida State University and then changing training methods under Nic Bideau, how she’s dealt with injuries and getting lapped in the Olympic 10K before finding redemption in the 5K. She explains how the ‘Dying Swan’ got her silver in the 2018 European Championship 10000m in Berlin, her relationship with her sponsors and supporters and shares her aspirations for the future.
