In today’s show Kelsey discusses several transformative moments that changed the course of her life, allowing her to build her dreams and live her sparkle, simply because she had the courage and the humility to listen, heed the call and take action. Kelsey graduated from Brigham Young University and had been accepted to graduate school at Georgetown University when she felt the calling to postpone graduate school go on a mission instead. Despite the fact that she said she would never go on a mission – especially to a third world country, be a teacher, and even though all of her family, friends and teachers were all prepared and excited for her experience at Georgetown, Kelsey went to the Dominican Republic for an 18-month mission instead. There she learned about love in action, respect for others and their culture and beliefs, as well about herself and her ability to persevere despite rejection and exhaustion. She learned first-hand how to rely on herself and her faith, how not to limit herself, and how to have the courage and humility to forge the life she felt called to live. Kelsey is now back at home and is poised to enter graduate school, but this time in an entirely different capacity and at an entirely different school. This time, Kelsey is exactly where she needs to be, all because of her ability to Trust in her Truth!
