Are we hypocrites when it comes to veganism?

PETA sparked outrage this week by barbecuing a fake dog on Henry Street, claiming if people wish to eat a pig or cow then they should have no issue eating a dog. They want people to think about why they're happy to eat one animal, but not eat another. During the protest, the organisation simply tweeted: “If you care about animals, try not eating them.”
