Today is Friday, May 5th.
I am going to start of the day with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!
Today's word of the day is " Authentic "
//: genuine: accurate or reliable:
**Quote of the day:
"Some people go through extreme measures to get noticed, but when you're authentic, all you have to do is arrive.” Anonymous
What actually constitutes a truly authentic person?
Being an authentic person is a lifelong process. It takes growth, healing and loving ourselves and more for us to become who we truly are.
An authentic person doesn't just mean having the integrity to stay exactly who you are, but this also means that you don't bother hiding parts of yourself to others.
Standing up for everything you believe in, including your beliefs and morals.
Not needing the approval of others, and you're more afraid of compromising the essence of who you are for the comfort of everyone else. This also means speaking your voice when necessary and standing your ground.
They don't blame other people for what happens to them in their lives. They take personal responsibility for how they're actions created a certain outcome. They are willing to look at how they influenced each and every situation and act accordingly.
They love themselves. They see themselves as a person of value who deserves love, kindness and support.
They are willing to see and acknowledge their own faults
They love themselves.
They see themselves as a person of value who deserves love, kindness and support. They provide themselves with adequate care to support their own health and well-being.
They express their true thoughts, feelings and views unapologetically.
They don't say things that they don't truly mean. They don't do things that they don't really want to do. And They are able to share their own unique thoughts, feelings and views without fear of other's opinions.
Being Authentic
So let go of anyone else's opinion of you, be proud and follow your own path. People who truly love you will accept you on your path of authenticity.

- Cinco de Mayo
Let’s start by clearing the biggest misconception: No, Cinco de Mayo is not the Mexican Independence Day. But, that does not mean it’s less important or notable than it actually is, for the history behind it dawns on the importance of the landscape of North America as a whole.
An economically struggling Mexico was intervened by the French for the second time, who had the hopes to gain control of the Latin American country under the rule of Napoleon III. The French General, Charles de Lorencez, directed his army towards the capital of Mexico City, with the intent to overthrow the president of Mexico, Benito Juarez.
But things didn’t go as planned, as they encountered heavy resistance, culminating at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Even if their forces had half the numbers of their opponents, the Mexican Army, led by Ignacio Zaragoza, managed to successfully win over the French army at Puebla, a city just 70 miles from Mexico City. Four days later, on May 9, Juárez declared Cinco de Mayo a national holiday.
**Fact of the day:
Chemist Insists Eating One Specific Food Helps Rid the Body of Parasites:
If you have a fearful reaction to the word parasites, don't worry. You are not alone!
one way to minimize the presence of parasites in your body is to consume one tiny food: walnuts. Why?
Walnuts contain a natural molecule called juglone, which is non toxic to humans and is a natural herbicide. Walnuts also contain a high content of tannin, also called tannic acid, which is a group of phenolic compounds. The combination of juglone and tannins are believed to assist the body in removing microbes from the large intestine, acting as a laxative.
(Tannin is also responsible for the sometimes bitter taste of walnuts. If you are not a huge fan, a tip is to soak the nuts before eating to purge them of the tannins. This can also help with digesting the nut if you have a sensitive stomach.)
Besides containing these anti-parasitic properties, walnuts also promote healthy digestion and the health of your gastrointestinal system! Honestly a win-win over all.
