The British Prime Minister Theresa May is expected to try to get the EU to give her some reassurances on the Irish backstop to sweeten her Brexit deal for the British parliament.
Mrs May will meet EU leaders who’re gathering for a summit in Brussels over the next two days.

The Sinn Fein MEP Matt Carthy says it’s vital the EU does not row back on the backstop deal.
