Mid-Session 2 July 19: Market improves ahead of RBA meeting

The Australian sharemarket is lifting ahead of this afternoon’s RBA interest rate meeting with the ASX 200 up 23 points or 0.35% to 6671 towards lunch. Gains are generally across the board with materials and tech names are advancing the most but financials are among the underperformers.
