May 14 – Getting There – Pt 1 – The Power of Mom

First of all a very happy and blessed Mothers’ Day to all of you moms out there. We are forever grateful to the Lord for you. Today we begin a new 8-week sermon series called “Getting There.” In today’s sermon we’re going to talk about moms from the perspective of Psalm 22. Now you’re probably thinking what would Ps 22 have to do with Mothers’ Day? and that’s a great question. For Christians Ps 22 is a “messianic” psalm. But when it was written many would have seen the picture of a man struggling with doubt and despair, who overcame that hopelessness by what his mother taught him. Thanks for listening. God bless you!
