Market Close 10 Apr 18: The ASX 200 is up 48 points or 0.8% to 5,857

The local market recovered thanks to a speech made by Chinese President, Xi Jinping about the need to maintain a constructive approach to free trade, specifically cutting tariffs on auto imports and opening the Chinese market to finance, aviation and shipping.
