SUMMARY: "Go and marry a promiscuous wife and have children of promiscuity.” We have no record of God specifically asking anyone else to do what He asked of Hosea. God uses the example and illustration of marriage and family to describe Himself. God asked Hosea to surrender his life to testify how God is like a Faithful Husband to His people who are like a continually unfaithful wife.
