Morning Report 15 Nov 21: US sharemarkets lift on Friday but snap 5 week winning streak

US sharemarkets were firmer on Friday but still fell over the week - the first fall in six weeks. Ten of 11 S&P sectors rose led by communication services (up 1.7%). At the close of trade the Dow Jones index was up by 179 points or 0.5%. The S&P 500 index was higher by 0.7%. And the Nasdaq index was up by 157 points or 1.0%. Over the week the Dow fell 0.6%; the S&P 500 lost 0.3%; and the Nasdaq fell by 0.7%.
