The Section 6AA Championship now came down to 1 game. The winner goes to the State Tournament, the loser goes home for the year. After being the Home team in Game 1, the Pioneers now played as the Visitors in Game 2. After a scoreless 1st inning, the Pioneers took the lead in the top of the 2nd when Brayden Haberman ripped a lead-off double to left. Jackson Thielen then delivered a 2-out rbi single to score Haberman and make it 1-0. Pierz added 2 more runs in the 4th on a 2-out rbi triple from Brecken Andres and an rbi double by Danny Litke to go ahead 3-0. Senior Nathan Solinger threw 6 shutout innings, giving up 4 hits with 7 strikeouts before Kaden Kruschek was called upon to pitch the 7th. Elliott Burnett kept Albany's hopes alive with a 2-out double, but Kruschek then got a ground ball to 2nd baseman Jackson Thielen, who fired to 1st baseman Bo Woitalla to finish off the Pioneers 3-0 Section Championship win, sending the Pioneers to the State Tournament for the 4th time in school history.
