Leaving Cert grading - Can you blame a parent or student for contacting their teacher?

On Monday's show Niall Boylan spoke about the idea of parents or students trying to contact their teachers about their Leaving Cert grades. Parents or students who seek to influence a Leaving Cert grade awarded by teachers will be reported to the Department of Education. Can you blame a parent for doing this?
