#82 Justice For Jelani

As a child, Jelani Day was witness to a specific human behavior that helped shape him as a person. Jelani’s childhood friend Paul struggled with a speech impediment that opened him up to bullying from other children. Even as a kid Jelani knew treating Paul like the other children was wrong. He became good friends with Paul and stood up for him when other kids would try to tease him. This, in turn, helped shape Jelani’s future. He would become someone others could look to for support, he was selfless and wanted to help in any way he could….so where was the help when he needed it?
