God’s Favorite Place on Earth: Anointing at Bethany

There was a quiet, steady increase in sanctification in the village of Bethany. It started when Jesus first arrived and was received. It continued with each visit and each act of humble acceptance. That is what marked Bethany as a place where the LORD loved to be. It was never more plainly expressed than when Mary poured out the nard and washed Jesus’ feet with her hair.
