REMASTERED: Nazarene Archives ep 6: The Scandal of the Cross - William Greathouse

In this episode, listen to a remastered version of William Greathouse's sermon  “the Scandal of the Cross.” This sermon is the first of a series on the cross. This series was preached during Holy Week in 1976 at Shawnee Church of the Nazarene. Over the next few weeks and into Holy Week, this remastered sermon series will be made available.

Greathouse was a pastor, teacher, and leader of the Church of the Nazarene. He served as a pastor from 1938 to 1963 and then was elected president of Trevecca Nazarene College. In 1968, he was elected to be president of Nazarene Theological Seminary, and in 1976, only a few months after this sermon series, the general assembly elected William Greathouse to be a general superintendent.
