It's the final day of Cattle Con 2024 here in Orlando. This is the annual meeting of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association and we talked to a host of producers, and those who sell products and services to the beef cattle industry. Here is a stunning fact: Only 2% of the U.S. population is involved in agriculture. One-hundred years ago 25% of the population farmed and ranched. We have become a nation mostly ignorant how food is produced...and, according to NCBA, that can be a danger. In the weeks ahead we'll share some of what we heard. I promise it it will be interesting.
