"Passover: God Saves"

· The Problem

o We are enslaved by our sin and brokenness. (Exodus 3:6-10)

o We incorrectly understand suffering and adversity. (Exodus 5:19-23)

§ Following Jesus is more about adversity than prosperity. (Luke 9:23-24; 14:28-33)

· The Solution

o God fought to free us by dying for us in the person of Jesus Christ. (Exodus 7-11:4-10; 12:5-7, 12-13; John 1:29; 1 Peter 2:24)

§ Jesus was crucified on Passover

o Our freedom comes from the inside-out (Galatians 5:22-23)

· The Celebration

o Worship involves the celebration of God’s work. (Exodus 12:1-3; 14:15-18, 21-28)

o Celebration remembers and rekindles faith in Jesus. (2 Timothy 1:7) ·
