Irenaeus of Lyon

On today's installment of Christians of History, Jens shares a bit about the life and times of Irenaeus of Lyon. One of the earliest Christian voices we have, Irenaeus was the Bishop of Lyon, in modern day France, and wrote extensively against heresy plaguing the church in the face of persecution. He was a disciple of Polycarp, who was a direct disciple of the Apostle John. This fascinating piece of history played a huge role in his life. Tune in to learn more.
