Scot Bertram, A Queens, New York man is under arrest for spying for China

Here are 3 big things you need to know—

 

One — Vice President Kamala Harris has officially accepted her party's nomination for President. Harris took to the stage Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and touched on a variety of topics, formally accepting the nomination for what she said was on behalf of the people. 

 

Two ----  Governor Gretchen Whitmer threw her support behind Vice President Kamala Harris for President at the Democratic National Convention last night.  Whitmer said Harris "gets us, she sees us, she is us" and said Donald Trump is out of touch with Americans.  

 

 

And number three — A Queens, New York man is under arrest for spying for China.  The DOJ says between 2018 and 2023, Yuanjun Tang used his position as a leader among pro-democracy activists in the U.S. to collect information for the Chinese government, reporting on people critical of China and events supporting democracy.
