After extensive training in plastic surgery at Harvard University and the Mayo Clinic, she was selected for a prestigious fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery at the New York & Ear Infirmary, where she trained under some of Manhattan's plastic surgery luminaries.  She is an honors society graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine.  She earned her undergraduate degree in literature at Yale College.
