Euwyn Poon, Founder of Spin Electric Scooter Sharing

Ep #138 - My guest this week, Euwyn Poon, is the founder of Spin which is an electric scooter sharing service similar to the likes of Uber or Lyft, but with scooters. Spin was founded in San Francisco back in 2016 and raised $8M in their Series A, three months after their seed round, which allowed them to launch operations in dozens of US cities and campuses. The core team of Spin is comprised of engineers, designers, operators, lawyers, and public policy makers with experience from companies like Y Combinator, Uber, Lyft and other technology companies.

Euwyn has been a partner in several startups receiving venture capital and seed funding, and belives in building strong teams and culture. The company of Spin was acquired by the Ford Motor Company back in November of 2018. Under Ford's ownership, the company is scaling at a very rapid pace.

In our interview, we discuss Euwyn's roots as an entrepreneur and his personal journey including graduating college at 18 and going to law school.
