Deborah Polverino on Quitting Smoking; Values, and Dealing With Shame
Welcome to Episode # 78 of The Alcohol & Addiction Podcast the show designed to help you reduce the leverage that alcohol has in your life and your relationships.
Debbie is one of my closest friends, and in her time, a top notch therapist with over 20-years of experience working alongside the likes of Paul McKenna.
I invited her onto the show to help members of the Needy Helper community who are struggling to quit smoking. We talk about her experience helping people quit smoking, the importance of defeating the ‘I Can’t” attitude, living in accordance with your values, doing the work, tapping and other tools, and the importance of sharing your problems with your partner, failure to do so, and the link to shame.
