Mary's song in Luke 1:46-55 has been sung to gorgeous music over the centuries. We may miss, though, that it's also a protest song of sorts, calling for some radical upheaval in the world.

This sermon takes a look at Mary's context (the Roman Empire) and at a contemporary television show ("Empire") to explore how we might be called to flip our own empires.
