In the eighth of a multi-part series, Sister Geralyn, SCC, introduces us to Prince Demetrius Augustine Gallitzin (December 22, 1770 – May 6, 1840). Prince Gallitzin was an emigre Russian aristocrat and Catholic priest. He was the first Catholic priest who was educated and ordained from the Baltimore seminary.
