Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles,
We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
