The Hinsdale House: A History of Hauntings

The Hinsdale House, located in Hinsdale, NY, is reputedly the state's most haunted house. Its history, spanning from its 1853 construction to the present, involves several families who experienced unexplained phenomena, including the Dandy family, whose experiences are documented in a book.  These events, ranging from disembodied voices to apparitions, led to a failed cleansing in 1974. Currently owned by Daniel Klas, who is renovating it, the house is now open for paranormal investigations. Numerous local legends further contribute to its haunted reputation.
