Professor William Davies is sociologist, political economist, and a senior lecturer at Goldsmiths at the University of London where he is also Director of the Political Economy Research Center.  His focus has been on critiquing the social impact of neoliberal capitalism and the role of technology, the internet and surveillance in shaping public interest and the popular secular psychology.

Will is the author of “The Limits of Neoliberalism” and more recently just released “The Happiness Industry: How Government and Big Business Sold Us Well-Being” published by Verso Press.  His articles have appeared in the New Left Review, Financial Times, Political Quarterly, Daily Beast, NY Times and other outlets.
