Have you perhaps forsaken your first love and initial passion for God? Close your eyes and remember the first time you welcomed Jesus into your life – that exhilarating, fresh, new and exciting feeling, that burning passion, a fire deep within your heart. This initial passion is often characterised by a profound sense of joy, purpose and connection with God. Yet, over time, the demands and distractions of daily life can cause this passion to wane, leading to a more routine practice of faith. So, may we revive the zeal and passion we first had for the truth that is only found in Jesus. (Revelation 2:4-5)
