The System (Episode 6)

This week we have our first guest! Please welcome Laurie, a truly beautiful soul who has worked in many aspects of the social work field, first with her Bachelors of Social Work and then with as Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has also worked as a teacher in an international school, but sadly had to rejoin America where we can talk all day about how the system sucks. Laurie is a longtime friend- we’ve known her 10 years now?!?!- and talks this week with Nicole about their individual experiences working within the social work and family service fields. Shelby is out galavanting the world, but we hope you will enjoy this deeper dive into why people are so passionate about this work and how working in different parts of the over all family-legal system compare to one another.
