From attaining a psychology degree at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina to earning a Ph.D. in Psychology from The University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom, he has left his mark as a researcher and lecturer across universities in the UK and Argentina.
With a rich professional background, he has also held significant roles in Australia. He was part of Edith Cowan University from 2010 to 2019 and is currently the Pro Vice Chancellor and Head of the College of Health and Education at Murdoch University. His expertise is widely recognized, with his research being featured in esteemed international psychological journals including Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Current Directions in Psychological Science, Human Brain Mapping, and Developmental Psychology.
Prof. Campitelli's research focus spans the fascinating domains of expertise and decision-making. He dives deep into understanding the cognitive mechanisms that underpin problem-solving, including memory, imagery, and critical thinking, all of which contribute to processes like Bayesian reasoning and effective decision-making. Notably, he co-founded the Journal of Expertise in 2018 and continues to play a pivotal role as its co-Editor.
