Facing Adversity HEAD ON, with Laura Dennis - EP13

Laura Dennis was one of the highest ranked long distance triathletes in the world and lawyer too boot - seeminly the world at her feet. Then in March 2021 when out riding her bike, a car pulled out in front of Laura and ran into her. After numerous operations to fix her body, it was also determined that Laura also suffered trauma to her brain in the incident. Re-learning how to speak, read, focus attention and ride her bike again, Laura got back into the training as soon as she was given clearance to prepare for her return to the sport. Almost 2 years later, Laura lined up for her return to race, only to suffer from a seizure in the water - a symptom of her brain injury from the incident.
