The 1015 - Pentecost: The Role of the Holy Spirit in the Life of a Christian

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, he told his disciples to return to Jerusalem to await a gift the Father would send them. 50 days later as the church met for the Festival of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended upon those gathered. The presence of the Holy Spirit was not just for them, it is for "all who have been called by the Lord our God" (Acts 2:39). What does this mean for us today? How does the Spirit act? What is the purpose of the Holy Spirit in the world and in the life of the Christian today?
