Mid-Session 27 August 19: Aussie market stabilising as trade tensions ease

Local shares are stabilising after heavy selling on Monday. The ASX 200 is lifting around 20 points or 0.3% at lunch after President Trump struck a more optimistic tone in relation to trade negotiations with China. IT, consumer discretionary and financials have been boosting the market most.
