What Have You Brought to God’s Table?

Thou preparest a table before me... says Psalms 23, and when we come to church, a table is set before us. In God's church it's a complete feast - as good as a Thanksgiving meal. But in our Christian experience, God expects us to bring something to the table.

"What can you bring to the table?" used to be a question when a new hire was being considered or when a business deal was being undertaken.

The Jews, for many years brought their worst to the table. Instead of offering their best to God, they brought him the lame, the sick, and the blind. He told them, give it to your governor. Will he accept it? The answer is no. Those verses can be found in Malachi chapter one.
