The Lord who knows our hearts was able to see through the strategic schemes of the leading priests, the teachers of religious law, and the elders of the temple. Following the Holy Spirit's guidance, He knew how to successfully answer each trap to create a parable-style response, showing them their own sinful situation and their impending future judgment.
