Farmers will continue to get cash during CAP transition - Markey

Farmers income will be protected during the CAP transitional period according to Midlands-North-West MEP Colm Markey.

 

The new Common Agricultural Policy is not expected to come into force until 2023.

 

Agreement has been reached that payments will continue during the two-year transitional period, which begins in the new year.
