Please note, this is a rebroadcast from the show on 2/20/2014. Thank you very much.
Joining us again today is Sister Ann Flanagan and with her is special
guest, Joyce Duriga, Editor of the Catholic Of The World Newspaper, and
Christina joins the ladies today, once again we have an all girls show
today. Sister Ann starts us off with a song, Be It Done To Me to not
only express prayer, but start off the show on a good note, from her
album Sing Your Praise, sung by her and her fellow Sisters of The
Daughters Of St. Paul. After the song, Joyce Duriga shares with us her
experience and life as a journalist and now editor of The Catholic Of
The World Newspaper, revealing some great times and her past that led
her to journalism, as well as what The Catholic Of The World reports
on, history of the paper itself, and topics that were and are (giving us
a sneak preview into next issue of the paper) being covered, as well as
what get's put into every issue. She also shares with events this
weekend, explaining the process a bit further of what gets printed and
put in and on the cover, as well as previous events, like the March For
Life recently held. She also talks about the good and rough, if not
bad, times that the paper has gone through, competing with other
newspapers, news sites, and other sources of news information and shares
some of her favorite stories/moments and inspiration. Sister Ann has a
second song for us, On Eagles Wings, once again sung by her and her
fellow sisters from their album Celebrating 20 Years: Best Loved Songs.
Joyce shares with us a bit of personal history of why/how she became a
journalist and Sister Ann Flanagan promotes her current book, actually
eBook, Five Keys To Understanding Pope Francis, explaining what
to do with the sayings, teachings, and methods of Pope Francis, which
Joyce also shares her feelings on. For more on this newspaper and Joyce
Duriga and her staff, visit: http://www.catholicnewworld.com.
