So says Fine Gael MEP Deirdre Clune. She was speaking in the European Parliament where MEPs this week overwhelmingly voted for new rules to make USB type-C the common charging standard for small electronic devices by the end of 2024.
Having different chargers for different devices is a major headache for many people and it leads to tonnes of unnecessary e-waste. Deidre Clune says a common charger for multiple devices will be very welcome.
