Broadcasting live from Hillsdale College in beautiful Hillsdale, Michigan .... I'm Scot Bertram filling in for Steve. This is the Steve Gruber Show for Friday, August 23, 2019
Here are 3 BIG things you need to know—
Three— March For Our Lives, the student-led movement pushing for gun control that emerged following the Parkland, Florida school shooting, has introduced a new platform. CNN calls it innovative! I bet you'll have a different word to describe it.
Two—The Detroit Zoo has announced it's embracing a renewable energy plan and will ultimately draw all its electricity from Michigan wind parks. Funny, I would have thought methane would have been a more convenient option for them.
And Number One— Democrats hoping to win the White House in 2020 fear another rural wipeout will help to reelect Trump. They're looking to conduct outreach, but seemingly having issues connecting with voters. That's hard to believe, isn't it?
