TGIF and the second week of Advent is coming, as well as the Jubilee Year being celebrated this weekend at Saint Stanislaus Kostka Parish. With so much going on, Father Anthony talks about the distortion of God or how we turn away from Him, something that has always been around when people get upset or feel that God has forsaken them or is dealing them bad luck, Father Anthony reminds us that even though we may feel that, God is forgiving and redeeming and loving to us. This brings to mind topics recently discussed this week, as well as bringing up the Spiritual Battle Father Anthony talks about all the time, which we are constantly in throughout life. With all this in mind, we are moving into the Mercy Year now, so keep in mind that mercy will be felt and given, allowing for forgiveness. This allows Father Anthony to share this mornings Gospel Readings, which in turn relate to the discussion and the Jubilee Year/Year of Mercy. This begs the questions surrounding the recent shootings and terrorist attacks going on as well as a recent shooting in Darien, IL at a Wal-Mart and that the question is, "What is God doing to fix this?"
