Message Summary: Our Judgement is coming, either with the return of Jesus or our earthly death. However, we avoid thinking about our earthly death and the implications of our death. We do not know what will happen at our Judgement; therefore, we need to do all that we can to keep our personal relationship with God growing. As the Apostle Luke tells us in Acts 10:42-43: “And he {Jesus}commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead. To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”. There is a day coming when we all will be held accountable by God, just as Paul tells us in Romans 2:3-5: “Do you suppose, O man . . . that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you presume on the riches of his {God’s} kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.".
Today’s Affirmation: I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! (Luke 11:13).
