Harkin calls for ban on any new fracking

The Independent MEP Marian Harkin says local authorities need to implement a European Parliament decision to ban any new fracking operations. MEPs in a vote this week urged EU countries not to authorise any new fracking in the EU. The MEP for the Midlands North-West says local authorities in her constituency are making diverse decisions when it comes to authorising new fracking operations in their County Development Plans.
