God has always been a God of provision: from the Garden of Eden in Genesis to the New Heaven and Earth of Revelation. God is not simply a provider, but One who does it extravagantly. He lavishes us with grace, with the riches of His very life, and with His love. He gives more than necessary. As we orient our lives around the words and the ways of Jesus, and because He is the image of the unseen Father, our lives should be one of extravagance. We are called to be extravagant givers.
