Liz Bobo interviews Kali Schumitz, Director of Communications for the Maryland Center on Economic Policy.

 The Center, which advances innovative policy ideas to foster broad prosperity and help our state be the standard bearer for responsible public policy, will be holding an event on Saturday, July 28 from 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM at the Owen Brown interfaith Center in Columbia. 

The keynote address will be given by Alice Rivlin, the founding director of the Congressional Budget Office.  The choices we make as a state shape our neighborhoods and affect our economy. Come and learn how to effectively advocate for a state budget that serves everyone.

 Liz will be joining the Center’s Executive Director, Benjamin Orr, in opening this event.
