US Close 31 May 19: American stocks edge higher

The US sharemarkets rose by 0.2% on Thursday, led higher by defensive stocks like McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and Proctor & Gamble. American stocks still remain near three-month lows and are on track for the first monthly decline since December.
