Palestine was a land filled with treasure. The possibility of discovering an ancient relic, artifact, or precious cache was possible. It was a common thing to hide valuables in the ground or a cave. Jesus uses this fantastic possibility to present the encourage men to seek the Kingdom of Heaven.
