Market Close 20 September 2019: Shares hold on to gains to lift for a fifth straight week

The Aussie market has continued its recent positive run, improving for a fifth straight week. The ASX 200 ended 13 points or 0.2 per cent firmer at 6730.8. Gains were rather broad based but retailer Premier Investments (PMV) was the standout. The owner of brands such as Smiggle, Peter Alexander and Just Jeans jumped 15% after reporting record sales over the past year.
