Market Close 22 July 19: ASX 200 ends lower despite gains for mining and energy names

A mixed session saw the ASX 200 end with a loss on Monday. Only two sectors avoided  the attention of sellers – Energy and Materials. Oil prices have risen in response to Middle East Tensions after Iran seized two British flagged oil tankers in the Gulf of Arabia on Friday. Bulk iron ore miners benefitted from another boost in iron ore prices.
