Ep 172 A Legacy of Love and Wings—Parenting ”Bigs” with Esther Joy Goetz

Esther Joy Goetz loves being a mom and shares wisdom, joy, and humor on her hugely successful Instagram, Moms of Bigs. Today we talk about the most important thing we can give our children at any age, and what we can do to be better mothers. As her daughter tells her: We are all learners and teachers. Hopefully that's true at any age and stage.

Esther's mantra is we need to give our kids the roots of unconditional love and the wings of freedom to be completely themselves. She says it more than once; it warrants repeating. It's how God loves us and we get the privilege of passing on that kind of love to our kids. But since we are "control freaks"  - a mother, by definition - we need all of God's mercy and grace to help us love as he loves.
